The Arboretum Study Day

Morgan, we missed you, but we're glad to know you solved all the problems of the pediatric world and blew them out of the water! :) I'm just thankful for my first tan of the season!!! It was an absolutely gorgeous day. We were productive, but we also had lots of distractions from kiddos and their not so discretionary parents who had no problem invading our study time!

Xanadu

Definitely a once in a lifetime experience!

I think the words awesome craziness sum it up! So much fun, thanks Mrs. Marsha!! Morgan, we missed you and we had saved an aisle seat for you, but Maggie took it in your absence. During the show, one of the characters grabbed Maggie's arm and pretended to bite on it, Laura had her hair measured with a tape measure and we had a paint roller (without paint) rolled on our heads! Then at the end about 50 disco balls came down and we lit up glow sticks and stood and danced with the cast on stage!! They were making faces to us and sitting next to us while singing during the musical. Then on the drive through highland park, back to our cars, we all waved our glow sticks at the cars passing by!

Why do I love Tuesdays?

Maggie: "okie dokie pokie..." interrupted by J: "what's a pokie?"

Easter

My laptop has officially crashed and will not come on for anything and the only computer we have that reads camera memory cards is Tim's work computer, so I haven't been blogging as much because I don't have easy access anymore. But, here is an update!
Last weekend, I went to a baby shower for a friend in my small group who is expecting a little girl in May. Her shower was in a very nice home in Dallas and the theme was "Let's feather their nest", so I have to show off a few photos, they decorated with pink feathers. We also got to meet baby Bennett Thomas for the first time last Sunday. He's the son of another couple in our small group. Before we got there, Tim said, "You're not going to make me hold this baby, are you?" And of course, I just gave him "the look" and said, "Tim, we are going over so that we can hold him and dote on him, so yes, you have to." He replied, "Just let me do it in my own time, if I feel like it." So of course, we were sitting on the couch together and after I had held Bennett for a few minutes, I just handed him right into Tim's lap lol! He did so well for about a minute, then he passed him right back lol! He's a precious little guy and we can't wait to pass him around on Monday nights when we meet.

This past week was a tough one for us as Tim has been really busy at work. He didn't get home before 9 pm any night, and was home at 11:30 pm on Tuesday and 2:30 am on Thursday night! Plus the week before he had been in Houston so I felt like I hadn't seen him in forever. Gotta love construction work! I had alot of work to do at home to get the house spic and span for our company this weekend and I was exhausted every day when I got home from work, and my lack of motivation was compounded by Tim not being home. I really just wanted to sit in front of the TV every day and eat ice cream lol! Then at the beginning of last week I had told my CI that by the end my last week I wanted to have a full caseload, so instead of gradually adding like maybe a patient a day, she gave me a full load all at once and I ended up working long hours. The most exciting part of the week, besides the random hilarity of elderly folks, was sitting behind this truck for 30 minutes in traffic, and yes, the driver was exactly who you were expecting it to be....a white female in her 30's with a ponytail.....randomness/just plain weird.

Tim's parents were over for Easter this weekend and we had lots of fun. I took Mrs. Tommie to Sam Moon and DSW shoes, so that was big fun. Then we all spent a few hours taking everything out of the garage and giving it a big scrub down, and re-organized it. Ken, Renee and Aubrey came by on Saturday and we played ping-pong then ate a Babe's. Aubrey gets prettier and sweeter every time we see her. She is so well behaved. She has learned all of her animal sounds and she's so serious and hilarious when she makes them. She also knows all of the main parts of the face and body, which I am proud of. We gave her some treats for her easter basket. She is now wearing a 4T in some bottoms, lol! Church was awesome, then Tim's parents left after lunch. I used my silver serving dishes that we got as wedding gifts for the first time. Then Tim and I played the best of 5 ping pong games, we were tied 2-2, then he won the last one by 3 points, but I played better so I felt ok about it. :) Then we threw the softball around a bit.

Cannot wait to see yall in ONE WEEK!!! And to stinkin GRADUATE in 6 weeks!!!!! WOWEEE! Love, Rach
