Lately

Hey There!

I've been holding off on posting a pic of my new desk/office till I got it all set up and I just can't wait any longer. I still have lots of decorating/organizing to do, but this will give you the main idea. Maggie, sorry you're not on the background, I'm waiting on whomever had the pic of the 4 of us from your wedding to share it! However, I do have my wonderful lumbar support on my chair that I enjoy very much! The patients at work barbecued and made all of the food for our Fourth of July lunch today and it was very yummy! I just put some french bread in the fridge with a marinade for overnight to make french toast in the morning, I'll have to take pics and share the recipe. I'm super excited about next week, because my friend that decorates cakes (http://www.yumscrumcakes.blogspot.com/) is going to teach me to decorate cakes next week. I volunteered to make a co-workers 40th bday cake, so I'll def share photos of that creation!

Yesterday, Tim and I went to the Rockwall Concert on the Lake Series. The band was the grenadines and they played classic rock, bluegrass, Bob Marley...they were good, but we left a little early to beat the traffic and later found out that they did a fireworks show afterwards :(. Oh well, hopefully we'll see plenty this weekend. We brought Dixie and she did great, lots of kiddos pet her and she got lots of compliments on her beauty :). hehe We picked up BBQ from Baker's Ribs before hand and had a great time. It made me wonder if this time of the year is the busiest time for BBQ joints, I would think this weekend and Father's Day would be biggies.

Tim and I will be heading to LA tomorrow for a wedding shower at Lake Claiborne where we'll water ski and camp out with the pups. I'll be sure to share plenty of pics! Tim and I are both off of work on Monday, so that's exciting. My family is headed to NC to visit family for the next two weeks, sad I can't go, but that's what happens when you grow up and start a job! :) Tim took me shopping at TJ Maxx tonight and I tried on 33 shirts and he stood outside the door and commented on each one, he was sooo sweet! I wish yall could have seen the shirts he picked out when I ask him to pick a few :) And most of the shirts I picked up from the rack, he thought were ugly, then when I tried them on he liked them, boys are so funny! Tim is going to Northern Alberta, Canada for 5 days week after next for work, I wish so so much I could go, it's killing me. He told the management about seminary and they've all been very understanding and supportive.
