College Station Weekend

I'll start off by apologizing for no pics... Just words to share!

Last Friday, I drove to college station to spend the weekend with sister. This working 4 days a week has its perks and drawbacks. Perk- had a 4 day weekend, Drawback-have to work this weekend.

Friday night, Wade Bowen was playing at Harry's so I went and joined College Station's finest in singing some of my favorite songs! Saturday, we lounged around and sadly watched Baylor loose to A&M in basketball... got loads of grief for this since I was the only one rooting for my Bears! Saturday night, saw Dear John- much different than the book but I still enjoyed it. Everyone else that I went with hated it b/c of the ending. Sunday went with some of Michelle's friends to watch the Super Bowl and again had to watch my team loose. Sad weekend for my teams. Drove back to Austin Monday and got things done around the apt! Conclusion- fun weekend that went by too fast!

This week I have a weird work schedule- Tues, Thur, Fri, Sat so trying to be productive and work on school stuff today.

Fun stories from work: I have two patients right now that are Rancho Level 4 (confused and agitated) One is 4... one is 19! So interesting to see the same level in such different ages! The 19 year old repeatedly tells me "you better not do that or I am going to get agitated!" PS- I'm not hurting her, just helping her with trunk control so she won't fall! AND I never thought I would have a parent at a pediatric hospital but she has a little girl! I'm learning not to be surprised by what I see each day!

Well- off to work on case study stuff. I don't want him to d/c before I get all of my info! (Hard part about acute care!)
